The Tree Advocacy Group members are residents of the community who volunteer their time and efforts to help maintain and preserve our urban forest. They meet at least four times a year to plan activities and projects. Each year they hold an Arbor Day celebration in April. The village has been recognized as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation and has received other awards as well. The Tree Advocacy Group has also received numerous grants and donations. Each fall they hold a Tree Planting Project event. Support for our community is always welcome and we encourage residents to join us in our efforts to beautify our nice community.
